BE THE HERO OF YOUR OWN JOURNEY, FOLLOW YOUR CONSCIENCE, NO MATTER THE COST.

Once you decide on your occupation, you must immerse yourself in your work. You have to fall in love with your work. Never complain about your job. You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill. That’s the secret of success, and is the key to being regarded honorably

Coaching Methodology

I’m going to help you master the infinite game known as “Be the Hero of Your Own Journey.” This game has only one rule, “if you want to find out who you can become and what you can accomplish when you sincerely give your best effort, you must follow your conscience no matter the cost.”

Everyone needs someone who treats them like their potential matters. As your coach, that is exactly what I will do. I will become the external embodiment of your conscience, the voice that calls on you to be your most authentic, most courageous, most extraordinary self, and calls you out when you fall short.

By aligning your identity, your mission, and your priorities with authenticity, you will develop the focus and clarity that are necessary to overcome distraction and resistance. By developing the skills, making the sacrifices, and taking the leaps of faith that are necessary to unleash your true potential, you will develop faith in your ability to solve problems and perform at your best when your best is required.

By developing faith, you will develop mastery over the “One-second Decision.” That is the decision between following your conscience or surrendering your life to distraction and resistance. Distraction is the voice that urges you to sacrifice your potential for status and acceptance, or tempts you to sacrifice your potential for meaningless, momentary pleasures. Resistance is the voice that invites you to sacrifice your potential for comfort and safety. “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” And talent gets wasted when people surrender to distraction or resistance.

As you master the One-second Decision, you will gain access to flow. Flow is the optimal state of human consciousness that delivers peak performance. By forming a distraction-free connection with your conscience, you will begin to perform with the impeccable focus and relentless effort that make extraordinary results inevitable.

That is how you will become the hero of your own journey. That is how we will find out who you can become and what you can accomplish when you sincerely give your best effort.

As the Godfather of Heroic Philosophy, I am the only coach in the world who practices this methodology, and I only have a limited number of time slots are available. Let’s discuss your authentic identity and mission today so we can prioritize the skills, sacrifices, and leaps of faith that will define your journey.

Master Your Craft
Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
— Bruce Lee

Heroic Philosophy

My work is based on Heroic Philosophy, a framework I extrapolated from Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey, the archetypal pattern at the heart of the timeless myths and legends that have inspired cultures around the world for generations. Modern examples of the Hero’s Journey include: “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Lord of the Rings,” “Cool Hand Luke,” “Rocky,” “Star Wars,” “The Matrix,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” Nolan’s “Batman” Trilogy, “Avatar,” and “The MCU.”

“Myths are clues to the spiritual potentialities of human life.” – Joseph Campbell
“The point of philosophy is to become a better person.” – Ryan Holiday

The point of Heroic Philosophy is simple: to become a better person by following your conscience.

The Call to Adventure

Everyone is born with the potential for the extraordinary and the desire to unleash it.

  • Your potential is your spirit, the force that animates your life.

  • Your conscience is your desire to unleash that potential, the voice that calls on you to be your most authentic, most courageous, most extraordinary self, and calls you out when you fall short.

  • Your mind is the engine that translates your spirit and conscience into direction, words, and decisions.

  • Your body is the vehicle that translates your direction, words, and decisions into actions.

If you want to find out who you can become and what you can accomplish, you must follow your conscience, no matter the cost, so you can translate your spiritual potential into fully embodied authenticity.

Refusing the Call

Your conscience is not the only voice trying to guide your mind and body.

  • Ego urges you to sacrifice your potential for status and acceptance.

  • Id tempts you to sacrifice your potential for meaningless, momentary pleasure.

  • Resistance invites you to sacrifice your potential for comfort and safety.

Each day of your life is made up of a series of One-second Decisions: Which voice will you follow: conscience, ego, id, or resistance?

Meeting the Mentor

Distraction and resistance are relentless. That’s why everyone needs someone who treats them like their potential matters.

Mentors and allies become the external embodiment of your conscience. They carry an ethos that says:
“I believe in your talent, and I can’t wait to see who you can become and what you can accomplish. How can I help you develop the skills you need to unleash your potential?”

Crossing the Threshold

Confronting and overcoming distraction and resistance requires focus, clarity, and your first leap of faith. When you align your identity, your mission, and your priorities with authenticity, you will find the focus and clarity you need to take your first leap of faith.

Faith is the voice that says “This is complicated, and I don’t know how to do it yet, but I will figure it out, because it’s worth it. I can accept complexity. I can accept uncertainty. I can accept failure, but I cannot betray my potential. I cannot accept surrender.”

Armed with faith, and accompanied by your mentors and allies, it is time to begin your Quest to Unleash Human Potential.

The Road of Trials

Once you take your initial leap of faith, you will begin to develop the skills, make the sacrifices, and take the leaps of faith that are necessary to unleash your true potential. Fear, failure, rejection, and embarrassment are part of this process. The Road of Trials is a process of iteration, in other words, “The Road of Trial and Error.”

The embodiment of futility is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. More desirable results require more effective behaviors. More effective behaviors require deeper understanding. Deeper understanding requires the insights that shift your perspective.

By traveling the Road of Trials, you will develop the skills you need to get the results you want.

The Ordeal

Every hero is a problem-solver.

The Ordeal is the moment when you confront the most meaningful problem your gifts and skills are capable of solving. This challenge pushes you just beyond your current limit, and forces you to form a distraction-free connection with your conscience so you can perform with impeccable focus and relentless effort.

Apotheosis

Successfully conquering The Ordeal allows you to level up your skills. Apotheosis is the transformation from "ordinary protagonist” into “extraordinary hero.”

Return with the Elixir

You return home to your “ordinary world” as a hero armed with new insight and skills that allow the other members of your community to attain deeper understanding, acquire more effective behaviors, and deliver more desirable results.

Be the hero of your own journey. Follow your conscience, no matter the cost. Never surrender your Quest to Unleash Human Potential.

Cross The Threshold
When you play an infinite game with an infinite mindset, the outcome is certain, only the timeline is not.
— Simon Sinek

The infinite Mindset for the Infinite game

“Be the Hero of Your Own Journey” is what James P. Carse called an “infinite game.” An infinite game is a game played with no fixed endpoint, where the goal is not to win but to keep playing and evolving. Players drop out of an infinite game when they run out of the will or the resources to continue. Serious players need a strategy to effectively manager will and resources so they can endure the complexity and uncertainty of an infinite game.

The Never Surrender Performance Framework is the most effective strategy for managing will and resources because it is built on Heroic Philosophy, which I extrapolated from Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey.” The Hero’s Journey is the archetypal storytelling framework that is the beating heart of the timeless myths and legends that have inspired different cultures around the world for thousands of years. Campbell said that “Myths are clues to the spiritual potentialities of human life.” And he was right.

Every hero starts out as an ordinary protagonist. They follow their conscience on a complex and uncertain adventure that requires them to solve a meaningful problem by developing the skills, making the sacrifices, and taking the leaps of faith that unleash their true potential. The protagonist become the hero when they learn to perform with the impeccable focus and relentless effort that are available to those who form a distraction-free connection with their conscience. A hero is someone whose spirit outlives their body because their example inspires the decisions and actions of the generations who follow.

The dedicated practitioner of Heroic Philosophy will find the faith and flow they need to perform with impeccable focus and relentless effort so that extraordinary results become inevitable.

Be the hero of your own journey. Follow your conscience, no matter the cost. Never surrender your quest.
